The mission of Collaborative Theatre Project is to offer high quality theatrical productions; community outreach and educational programs; and to support local artists and enhance the lives of the members of our community through the arts.

Elliot Anderson

Board Member​

Elliot is the owner of Britannia Construction, and has also worked as a realtor in the Rogue Valley. As the owner of Britannia, he is widely respected for the quality of his work. He has also put his construction skills to use as the Technical Director for CTP. He has contributed to set construction for other local theatres as well. Elliot has performed at Oregon Cabaret Theatre in a production of Christmas Carol and knows the industry from onstage to backstage. His addition to the Board enhances the quality of our productions.

Susan is a member of the Medford Chamber of Commerce and a business owner with a strong background in marketing and public relations. She has also taught theatre at college level and has worked as a theatre critic in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has a BA in Theatrical Design and an MFA in Directing/Playwriting. Susan brings both an artistic and business background to CTP and is equally comfortable with the practical requirements of an organization as well as the creative. She has recently acquired both graphic and website creative skills and is excited about the additional elements she brings to benefit CTP. Currently she owns and operates Yogurt Hut in North Medford, handling both the marketing and accounting functions for that company. She is delighted that despite the recent pandemic complications, CTP is continuing to grow and achieve critical acclaim.

Steven Dominguez

Board Member

Steven Began his career as a theatre artist over 40 years ago. In NYC he received his acting training and holds a BFA in Acting from the Davis Center of the Arts at The City College of New York. Steven’s acting career has been wide and varied. It includes performances in film, television, Off-Broadway, Broadway and Europe. At CTP he is creating and directing the CTP Kids Bilingual Program, which premiered in 2020 on the Medford Center Plaza. He has multiple productions planned for each season and has recruited some incredible artists to grow the program. He is also a co-owner of Inward Bound Wellness in Ashland, Oregon. As Marketing Director for IBW, Steven has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce and is proud to be a founder of, and first term president for, The Ashland Business Connections Chapter of BNI (Business Network International).

Marylata Elton

Marylata Elton has enjoyed a multi-faceted career on the music side of the entertainment industry, spanning 40 years, and encompassing award-winning feature films, collaborations with a number of legendary musical artists, and her own Grammy nomination. Elton held the post of DreamWorks Senior Vice President of Music, joining the studio shortly after its’ inception and, as its first music executive, developed the feature film musical department virtually from the ground up. As Artistic Director of Music on seven DreamWorks animated features, she is credited on the blockbuster Shrek

Elton was honored with a Grammy nomination (as Producer, shared with Michael Ostin) in the category of Best Compilation Soundtrack for Shrek’s multi-platinum-selling soundtrack album. Added credits include the epic musical The Prince of Egypt, working with Hans Zimmer; Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, featuring songs by Bryan Adams; The Road to El Dorado, with Elton John, Time Rice, and Hans Zimmer, in addition to the feature films Peacemaker and Gladiator.

 

Raised in Los Angeles, Elton began her career at A&M Records, advancing independently and working with artists Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Rod Steward, Bob Weir and Duran Duran’s Any Taylor. Elton and her longtime partner, guitarist and three-time Emmy nominated composer, Danny Jacob, currently own their music production company, creating the music for Disney’s TV animation mega-hit, Phineas and Ferb.

 

In 2011, Elton established the first endowment for the Teenage Drama Workshop at California State University, Northridge, the longest running teen theater program in the nation. Relocating to Jacksonville, Oregon in 2014, Elton continues her legacy as a patron of the arts, supporting the Collaborative Theatre Project, when in 2023 she accepted the honor of joining its Board of Directors.

Thomas M. Hepford, CPA is a co-owner of Nagel & Padilla, LLC, a tax and accounting firm in Ashland. He brings over 25 years of management, tax, and training experience with him from industries such as retirement communities, healthcare, emergency communications, and hospitality. Originally from Northeastern Kansas, Thom remains enamored with the Southern Oregon scenery and climate. Thom’s past community service includes board membership on the Talent Chamber of Commerce and the Ashland Arts Center, participation in the Ashland Rotary Club and volunteer service on the City of Ashland Audit Committee.

Michael is a founding member and Technical Advisor for CTP. He has worked professionally in the Bay Area as a master electrician; programmer; assistant lighting designer and sound engineer. He earned his BFA in Theatre Technologies and a BS in Computer Science at Southern Oregon University. He works full time for a Managed Service Provider and heads up their Las Vegas division. Michael designed the lighting and sound system for CTP at its inception and continues to offer support and technical advice.

Tamra Mathias

Tamra is an award-winning actor, veteran and volunteer. She joined Actor’s Equity on Shakespeare’s birthday and right before the pandemic started. She has been an Adjunct Instructor of Introduction to Acting at Southern Oregon University, a teaching artist for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, a voice-over artist for Play4Keeps and an actor for ANPF. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in theatre from SOU while raising four children. At OSF, she created and carried out an after-school program for middle school students to teach them the art of storytelling and create/perform in their own plays. After the pandemic hit, she started working as a Pharmacy Technician so that she could do her part to help others. She finds joy in service and has a lifelong history of volunteering. She is proud to be a United States Army Veteran.

Laura Sutton has spent 25 years in the banking industry. Throughout her career, she has specialized in branch management and has helped her customers achieve financial stability. This focus has also led her to volunteer with multiple organizations. In addition to joining the Board of CTP, she is also on the Board of Community Action Agencies. She moved from Bend to Medford, Oregon in 2011 to become a District Manager for Chase Bank. In 2016 she returned to Branch Management with First Interstate Bank, which allowed her to return to volunteerism and supporting community non-profits. Laura is also a member of the Board of Directors for Grandmas2Go.

Pam Ward is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. She has been a Board Member and President of the AFTRA local in Denver, Colorado. Since 2005 Pam has been a member of The Old Time Radio Players in Grants Pass. She not only performs with this organization, but has also directed productions for them as well as serving on the Board of Directors. Pam has been instrumental in creating the Sound&Stage programming for CTP and is the Front of House Manager for CTP. Pam is also a narrator for the Library of Congress audio books program.
